THE ANNUNCIATION

	This group in wood dates back to the second decade of 1600 and represents the scene of the annunciation by the angel Gabriel to the Virgin Mary. It was found in the Congrega dell'Annunziata (The Meeting Place of the Annunciation) and is now boxed in a niche in a wall and decorated with numerous votive offerings, testimony to the faith of the people.
